Love is when someone remembers you don’t like shrimp so they make sure to sneak it off of your plate at the big family dinner. Love is when someone avoids doing that particular thing that bothers you, even though they might not understand why it bothers you. Love is when someone puts themselves out there for you. Love is when someone buys you a caramel frappuccino even if that means they can’t get one for themselves. Love is the absence of judgement.
Love is loving the way you look when you first open your eyes in the morning, and the way you look in dawn’s early light. Love is loving the little spastic kicks you make when you sleep. Or kissing you despite the bad morning breath. Love is loving the way your hair looks on a bad hair day. Love is always being there for someone who needs you… and I will always be there for you, like the stars are always there for the sun, even though it isn’t always that obvious.
